Description
Sweeping bands of color, ranging from pale yellow to deep red, create a dynamic pattern reminiscent of a flame or waves. The wavy lines suggest movement, and the natural layering implies geological processes.
Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada. This was an unexpected find! Earlier when we were talking to the ranger about the Fire Wave, she said we should really take this short hike to a colorful hill. I found out that the name is Crazy Hill which is appropriate! It was one of my favorite places to visit and photograph in the park.
