Description

A lighthouse sits atop a rocky island surrounded by choppy waves, with a backdrop of forested hills under a clear blue sky. Tall trees and sparse vegetation are scattered across the island, adding to the rugged coastal scenery.

Battery Point Lighthouse is in Crescent City, California. It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive for us so we like to go at least a few times a year. This is a special photo because my husband and I wanted to have a nice photo to give to his daughter, my step-daughter and her husband for a house warming gift. She grew up in and around Crescent City so it has great memories and it is a such a beautiful Lighthouse. Since we know the area, we tried a few different places. After going to a couple favorite places we decided we wanted some wave action in front so this was the place! While we were there I took many photos as seen in my Gallery.

Because of my love for animals, I'm vegetarian (almost vegan!), and a portion of all sales will be donated to Sanctuary One Care Farm at SanctuaryOne.org. A picturesque way to support animal rescue.
