Description
It was an October day in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. We were camping at Moraine Park Campground in Estes Park. The weather was too bad to go hiking so we decided to go for a drive in the RV. In the Rockies you never know what to expect so we didn't want to drive far and get stuck somewhere. Not far from our campsite we came across a couple herds of elk. We stayed for most of the day just watching the drama! There was one cow that wanted to change herds and well, the bulls didn't like that idea but they had to try to keep the rest of the herd together. With persistence, the cow would get to the other herd. Then that herd would get excited! Then things would calm down for a while and it would start all over again! Off and on it would be snowing, like a lot. What to do? Heat up some hot coco, add a little Peppermint Schnapps and enjoy the scenery and the drama. I was able to take photos out of the RV door so my camera didn't get wet. I hope this isn't cheating... LOL!
A portion of all sales will be donated to Sanctuary One.org. A picturesque way to support animal rescue.
