Vernal Fall is a 317-foot waterfall on the Merced River in Yosemite National Park, California. I just love waterfalls, so we decided to hike up to Vernal Fall, little did I know how many stairs there would be!! Get to the top of one set of stairs and there was another and another, etc. The good thing was we were able to see the Falls most of the time and they are very beautiful, as you can see. So with many stops, to take photos and rest, it is a hike that I would do again. But I may change the way we went. After talking to other hikers at the top, we heard that there was an alternate route. While longer it was not as steep. And on the way back we can come down the Mist Trail to get all the views.
