Description
It was a spontaneous day in Belize. While traveling in a remote area we saw a small sign "Howler Monkey Tour". So we drove in and they called the tour guide. Belize compensates property owners to keep habitat for the Howler Monkeys so the guide has permission to go onto private property to see the monkeys. Well, not only did we see monkeys in the distance but this guide has known this group for six years so, it took an hour, but he was able to call them from the wild!! They came within a couple feet from us! It was absolutely AMAZING to see WILD monkeys that close!! A day we will never forget!!!
The Black Howler Monkey, known as the "baboon" in Belize, is the largest monkey in Belize and one of the largest in the Americas.
Because of my love for animals a portion of all sales will be donated to Sanctuary One.org. A picturesque way to support animal rescue.
